(01) // THE BRIEF

Build a brand that
earns its own space.

A new creative agency in Dhaka needed an identity that didn't look like every other agency — in the region or the world. Considered, not loud. Confident, not flashy. Built to show clients on day one and still be proud of in five years.

CHALLENGE 01
Standing out in a
crowded market
Most Dhaka agencies default to tech-blue and generic sans-serif logos. We needed to go editorial — not corporate.
CHALLENGE 02
International feel,
local roots
Compete globally in aesthetic while remaining rooted in Dhaka — not a pale imitation of a London or NYC studio.
CHALLENGE 03
A system that
scales everywhere
Business card to 4:5 Instagram post to full website. The identity had to hold together without a style guide in hand.
(02) // THE MARK

The logo, in
every context.

Drop your logo images into the cells below. Each background represents a real environment the mark will live in: paper, dark, warm, and the full brand gradient.

TYPEFACE
Why
Fraunces?
Optical sizing means it works at 140px display and 12px caption. The italic has real personality — editorial without being theatrical. Not a default choice.
WEIGHT
Light over
bold
Weight 300 creates negative tension — the name feels considered rather than shouted. Confidence doesn't need volume.
PAIRING
Serif +
mono
JetBrains Mono as the utility voice — labels, tags, metadata. The tension between elegant serif and clinical mono is the brand's visual DNA.

(04) // COLOUR & GRADIENT

A palette that
moves.

Three anchors. Teal from coastal waters, burnt orange from Dhaka's golden hour, warm yellow from afternoon light through muslin. Organic, warm, and impossible to mistake for a tech company.

WHY ORGANIC TONES
Not tech,
not trend
Teal-orange-yellow avoids the cool-tech blue sea and the oversaturated Gen-Z palette. In five years it will still feel considered — not dated.
WHY GRADIENT NOT FLAT
Motion as
philosophy
The gradient is never static. On web it shifts with CSS animation. On social it moves between frames. The brand isn't a thing — it's a direction of travel.
WHY LOW OPACITY FILL
Suggestion,
not saturation
On hero backgrounds the gradient runs at 7–8% opacity. Enough to feel. Not enough to shout. Confidence in restraint is the brand's posture.
(05) // SOCIAL PRESENCE

Consistent across
every surface.

The identity was designed Instagram-first — where most clients encounter the brand before the website. Six post types, one visual language. A feed that's recognizable as Studio Gato without the logo present.
